Actor Sriimurali is gearing up to portray what he considers the most significant role of his career on screen. He shared, "Preparing for Bagheera has been an immense challenge. It has been a mix of nerves and excitement, as I have dedicated three years of my life to this role. I had to undergo rigorous workouts and adhere to strict diets, cutting out sweets, curd, and ice cream as per my trainer's instructions. Maintaining this appearance for three years was no easy feat. Despite the obstacles, I remained focused and avoided distractions. I also participated in workshops to prepare for portraying a cop like this."
Reflecting on his experience filming Bagheera, which included injuries that required surgery, Sriimurali quipped, "I received four 'gifts' from this project—two back injuries and two leg injuries. However, the filming process was so enjoyable that I was eager to return to work without hesitation. The team's dedication was unwavering; for example, even when I had just two days of filming left before my injury, they maintained the location and set for over three months until I could resume shooting that scene. Although there was a brief setback, I recovered well and am now 99 percent back to normal. I still experience slight discomfort in that remaining one percent, but I am careful in planning my actions to prevent any aggravation."
Working once again with his brother-in-law, director Prashanth Neel, Sriimurali praised his directorial skills, stating, "I was impressed by Prashanth's clarity and meticulous planning during our first collaboration on Ugramm. His fervor and commitment persuaded me to support him in all his endeavors. His passion and dedication to his stories and characters serve as valuable lessons for other directors. One must either possess such passion inherently or be willing to cultivate it through learning. To believe that you already know everything stifles personal growth, and that is something I greatly appreciate."Regarding Prashanth, he is consistently enhancing his skills. He is highly organized, and I truly enjoy collaborating with him; it feels like a professional triumph.
